Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 June 2026. These terms govern your use of the Plooka app ("Plooka", "we", "us"), provided by Solid Frame Studio (KvK 42074469, the Netherlands).

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Plooka on your Shopify store, you ("Merchant", "you") agree to these Terms of Service and the Data Processing Agreement below. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

2. The service

Plooka turns your products into subscriptions using Shopify's native selling plans and subscription contracts, and adds pet-specific features (per-pet profiles, portion-based reorder predictions, a customer self-service portal, dunning, and a merchant dashboard). Features may evolve over time.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must have an active Shopify store and the authority to bind your business to these terms. You are responsible for activity under your store's installation.

4. Fees & billing

Plooka is offered on flat monthly pricing tiers based on your active subscriber count. We do not charge a percentage of your sales or per-order fees. All charges are processed through Shopify's Billing API and appear on your Shopify invoice. You can change or cancel your plan at any time; fees already billed are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to access data you are not authorized to, reverse-engineer the service, or use it to violate any law or Shopify's terms.

6. Your responsibilities

You are the controller of your customers' personal data. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process it, for your own privacy notices, and for honoring your customers' rights and consent decisions.

7. Intellectual property

Plooka, its branding, and software are owned by Solid Frame Studio. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app while installed.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Reorder predictions are estimates and not guarantees. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may uninstall Plooka at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. On uninstall, we delete or anonymize the personal data we hold for your store, except where retention is legally required.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of the Netherlands.


Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

This DPA forms part of the Terms and applies where Plooka processes personal data on your behalf under the GDPR.

A. Roles

You are the data controller; Solid Frame Studio (Plooka) is the data processor. We process personal data only on your documented instructions, which include providing the app's functionality.

B. Data processed

Customer name and email, pet profiles (name, species, breed, weight, birthdate, diet notes), and subscription metadata — limited to what is needed to provide the service. The source of truth for customer and pet data remains in Shopify.

C. Sub-processors

We use: Shopify (platform & payments), Fly.io (hosting & database, EU region), Resend (transactional email), and ImprovMX (support email forwarding). Each provides appropriate safeguards. We will inform you of new sub-processors.

D. Security

TLS in transit; encrypted database storage and backups at rest; least-privilege access; separated development and production data; HMAC-verified webhooks; no personal data in application logs. See our incident-response practices.

E. Data subject rights & deletion

We support Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact), which let you fulfil access and erasure requests. On these requests, or on uninstall, we erase the relevant personal data.

F. International transfers

Data is hosted in the EU. Where any transfer outside the EEA occurs via a sub-processor, it is covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

G. Breach notification

We will notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal-data breach affecting your data, per our incident-response policy.
